Essential oils are superior oils that have been recently gaining more and more popularity. They are inexpensive and very health-friendly, which is why many companies have begun using them in cosmetics, toiletries, DIY items, and a wide range of other products.
Essential oils actually gained fame many years ago. Our ancestors from different cultures, climates, and places were the first ones to benefit from these natural extracts, realizing that they not only made their lives easier, but also made them feel better.

20 Essential Oil Hacks that are Totally Unusual and Creative
1. Foot bath
Pour 1 to 2 drops of either oil into a bowl filled with warm water. Place your feet inside, and start massaging the mixture into them. Prepare for a soothing and relaxing feel.
2. Mint Chocolate Cocoa

Do you want to add a mint flavor to your hot chocolate drink? Just pour 2 to 3 drops of peppermint oil (buy here) in to a mug of cocoa. and voila, you can now enjoy a hot mint cocoa drink!
3. Lip Balm
If you are a beauty enthusiast who appreciates cheap, natural, and health-friendly cosmetics, you will surely be fascinated with essential oils because you can make your own lip balm with them (among other cool things). All you need are equal parts of beeswax (buy here), shea butter (buy here), and jojoba oil (buy here), topped off with your favorite essential oils. 4. Improving the Scent of Your Fridge
Surprisingly, essential oils can even deodorize your fridge! A combination of bergamot oil (buy here), lemongrass oil (buy here), grapefruit oil (buy here), and lime oil (buy here) will be the perfect fit for the job. You can either mix some of these oils in water to wipe down the shelves and doors with, or sprinkle a few drops of each into a box of baking soda. Tuck the baking soda away in the back of the fridge or in the door to help absorb bad scents and release good ones.
5. Keeping Flying Insects Away
Annoyed with flying insects? Put either of these oils around your house—particularly on your windows and doors and insects will never visit you again.

7. Refreshing Carpets
With the combination of peppermint (buy here), lavender (buy here), lemon (buy it here), and geranium (buy here) essential oils, you can come up with something that will freshen up your carpets. You can either put a couple drops of each oil onto a cotton ball and place that into your vacuum bag, or mix the oils into some borax or baking soda that can be sprinkled directly onto the carpet and vacuumed up after about 15 minutes.

Applying a grapefruit oil will efficiently wash your fruits. Pour about 20 drops of grapefruit essential oil (buy here) and 1 tablespoon baking soda into a spray bottle with a pump. Fill with water, and use to wash your fruit.

You can even make use of essential oils when washing your sinks. Just combine lime oil (buy here) and bergamot oil (buy here), and add them with water to a squirt bottle, then you are ready to clean your sink.

An essential oil such as peppermint oil (buy here) can do a lot of things, including neutralizing paint odors. Just add several drops of the essential oil to your fresh paint can, stir, and you are all set for a good paint scent.

If your bedding has mites, then the problem can be solved with eucalyptus oil (buy it here). Just add water to the essential oil and pour it into your washing machine while washing the bedding.

You can remove cigarette smells from clothes by mixing 4 drops of tea tree oil (buy here), 4 drops of rosemary oil (buy here), 8 drops of lemon oil (buy it here), 4 drops of eucalyptus oil (buy it here), and 1 oz water. Pour the combination into a spray bottle and spritz onto the affected clothing.
