If you’ve checked out any of our previous OOTD features (modeled by Clementine and Darla), you may have realized that they’re bit on the girly side. Well, fear not, mamas with boys! We’ve got you covered too.
Today we are introducing our newest baby model, Miles.
He is a 16-monther from Santa Maria, California, and his mom doesn’t mess around when it comes to styling him! Cute to the core and outfitted with fab indie-designer and/or vintage pieces, he will be just the eco-style inspiration needed to keep our boy babe readers looking good too.
What He’s Wearing:
ECO Factors: Vintage/second hand (reuse/reduce), Repurposed (reduce/reuse)
Vintage romper from Etsy, Hat (repurposed party favor), Sandals from Zara ($33)
Miles’ mama struck gold with this amazing vintage romper! The applique on the front keeps things young, fun, and reminds us that it is handmade. Accessorizing with modern leather sandals and a cool hat took the outfit from being cute to intentionally stylish.
His shoes came from Zara (which is also where we have purchased a couple pairs of Clementine’s shoes). Though a little pricey and not necessarily eco in their own right, I’ve found Zara kid footwear to be a great (and hip) option. One strategic pair will coordinate with most outfits, and they are tough enough to withstand toddler usage. Tip: I have seen several used pairs of Zara sandals and boots available on eBay and pop-up instagram shops. Keep your eye out for used ones, as well as being sure to donate, hand down, or resell your own to keep on the reduce and reuse train!
Can’t get enough of Miles?
Neither can we! I hope to have him back again sometime soon (when he isn’t busy doing one of his favorite things like exploring nature, dancing, or grubbing down on ranch-dressing-dipped food, of course!).
Here is a sneak peek of another one of his looks to hold you over. You might also consider following his Mama Bear on instagram to catch stylish snaps and family fun that we won’t be capturing here.
