The LA River & Gardens is a beautiful place with beautiful plants — plants that are just waiting to be picked by my beautiful toddler! We were there all of 42 seconds before Clementine was ready to demolish their prize-winning flowers, but on a positive note she kept her pom-pom hair clip in the whole time she prodded!
I’m really glad she doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty. A girly-girl to the core she loves her frilly, sparkly things, but she is a wild adventurer at heart with no fear of danger or getting muddy. That’s why these casual layers are so great for her; she gets the benefit of a floral dress while Mama Bear gets the benefit of inexpensive yet durable fabrics that can be soaked and spot cleaned time and time again.
So play hard, my small one! Youth is too fleeting to be scared of grass stains.
What She Wore:
ECO Factors: Thrifted (reuse/reduce), Upcycled/DIY (reuse/reduce), Organic fibers (sustainable)
Thrifted denim jacket that we cut the sleeves off of, thrifted spot top, floral dress from Old Navy, mommy-made scarf, boots from consignment store, mommy-made pompom hair clip, knee-high socks from 99 Cent Only store
BONUS: Behind-the-Scene Shots
Modeling is hard work, especially on a warm day. As soon as we finished the shoot Clementine ditched her outer layers and demaded payment in full: a glass bottle full of Mama’s milk!
