I have to admit, one really fun part of motherhood for me is dressing Clementine up! This will come as no surprise for anyone that knows about my love for vintage clothing and the fulfillment I get out of repurposing/giving new life to used pieces in my own wardrobe.
And 17-month-old Clementine Mae really is a joy to accessorize. She is extremely interactive and verbal, and has already started showing interest in helping style her outfits. I start the process by pairing a couple items together and then she will pick an item or two to compliment it. It’s always fun to see the pieces she comes back with. She certainly has a hefty amount of creativity a-brewing and I love encouraging it.
Today we went for comfy layers… a “Casual Play Date” look, if you will. There was enough detail to make the outfit seem somewhat purposeful, but at the same time her garb was ready to be played in and made dirty.
I had really high hopes of getting a few pictures of the girls together since they were both rocking the faux fur and spots so well, but they aren’t quite at the stage where sitting them together is an option for more than about 3 seconds, so here is the best snapshot I could get. Sister love at its finest…
